Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prefab Finishing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for painting and finishing garage components in our prefab department, ensuring all materials are properly prepared and ready for installation by our field crews. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality and efficiency in our production process.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
- Overtime: Approximately 1.5 hours of overtime daily, paid at 1.5x rate
- Attendance Bonus: $50 weekly bonus for consistent, on-time attendance (equivalent to ~$1/hour extra)
Key Responsibilities:
- Paint garage components including walls, trim, and structural elements in a shop setting
- Prepare surfaces for painting
- Ensure consistent quality and finish across all components
- Stage and organize completed parts for installation crews
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor materials and notify management of supply needs
- Follow company safety procedures and use protective equipment as required
- Assist with other prefab or shop tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior painting or finishing experience preferred (construction or shop environment a plus)
- Ability to use basic hand tools and painting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
