Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher (Journeyman) to join our dynamic construction team. Duties

• Execute concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and texturing to achieve specified surface quality and appearance.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately follow project requirements.
• Prepare forms and molds by constructing formwork with carpentry skills, ensuring proper alignment and stability for concrete pouring.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks including concrete cutting, rebar installation, and formwork construction.
• Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete using mixers, pumps, and other equipment to ensure consistent quality across all surfaces.
• Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, stucco, and sealing to enhance durability and aesthetics of finished surfaces.
• Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations and protocols during all phases of work.
• Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting operations and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless project progress.
• Conduct routine inspections of work sites for safety compliance and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role within the construction industry; journeyman certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to concrete mixers, power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment operation.
• Expertise in , formwork construction, rebar installation, and concrete pouring techniques.
• Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures, concrete cutting methods, caulking, stucco application, and concrete pumping systems.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans is advantageous.
• Ability to work on multiple construction projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions; strong attention to detail is essential.
• Commitment to following all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations diligently.
