Reports to: Waterpark Operations Manager
About the Role: As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests at our Waterpark. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor pool activities, enforce safety rules, and respond promptly to emergencies. Additionally, you will collaborate with a team of lifeguards and staff to maintain cleanliness and organization in the facility. Ultimately, your vigilance and proactive approach will contribute to a positive experience for all visitors while minimizing risks associated with water activities.
Job Summary: Your primary responsibility is to prevent accidents and injuries by closely monitoring swimmers and enforcing rules. Must be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any emergency situation, preforming rescues and providing first aid as needed. Providing assistance and information to guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience. Working closely with other lifeguards and staff to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
Salary: $15.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned pool and water‑park zones, attentively scanning for hazards, unsafe behavior, or emergent situations.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies, perform water rescues, administer first aid/CPR/AED as needed.
- Have a friendly and approachable personality, committed to guest‑service excellence.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement safety protocols and training.
- Attend mandatory in-service training.
- Stay current with all facility protocols, safety standards, training requirements, and emergency action plans (EAP).
- Strong attention to detail and vigilance – staying alert at all times.
- Work with others as a team.
Requirements:
- We are looking for someone who truly prioritizes safety and that it is at the forefront of priorities if and when hired.
- We are looking for candidates 16 and older.
- Great swimming skills.
- Strong communication.
- Flexible scheduled: Available nights (Thursday & Friday), weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
