Sheboygan Family Eye Care is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our healthcare team. We’re looking for a skilled and upbeat person who thrives in a team environment and loves helping patients see and feel their best. This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration, clear communication, and jumping in where needed to support both patients and coworkers.
Experience:
One or more years of experience working as an optician in a clinical setting.
Optician Duties:
- An optician fits, dispenses, adjusts eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Help patients choose frames, lens types (like anti-glare, progressive), and contact lenses that suit their needs, face, and lifestyle
- Take measurements: Use specialized tools to measure facial features for perfect lens placement
- Ensure glasses fit securely and comfortably and adjust frames as needed
- Teach proper care and use of glasses and contact lenses, including insertion and removal
- Fix broken frames or lenses
- Handle inventory, orders, and insurance claims
