HSE ManagerLocation: Box Elder, UTDuration: 2–3 years (24–36 months)Type: 1099 ContractorPosition DetailsHourly Rate: $55–$60/hr (local)Per Diem: NoneCompletion Bonus: $150/monthPay Frequency: WeeklySchedule: Monday–Saturday (aligned with subcontractor installation schedule; no Sunday work)Project ScopeOur client is seeking an HSE Manager to support a large-scale Lean Integrated Project Delivery (Lean IPD) installation effort at their Box Elder, Utah site. This role will join an established safety team that has been on-site for three years and will provide safety leadership, daily oversight, and cultural coaching for the installation of process equipment.This position is dedicated to supporting the process equipment installation subcontractor and requires a strong ability to integrate safety into Lean delivery methods, daily team collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.QualificationsRequired Experience:Experience supporting installation activities or mechanical/process equipment projectsFamiliarity with Lean Delivery, Last Planner System, or collaborative construction workflows (preferred)Ability to coach, influence, and empower teams rather than enforce compliance top-downKey ResponsibilitiesConduct daily safety oversight for process equipment installation activitiesFacilitate morning safety updates at the daily 7:00 AM all-contractor meetingPerform regular safety audits, inspections, Behavior Observation Safety (BOS) checks, and risk assessmentsSupport incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementationMaintain compliance documentation, permits, daily reports, and site safety metricsCollaborate with the general contractor and installation subcontractors to ensure safety is integrated into planning and constraint removalLead by example and promote a proactive safety culture aligned with Lean principlesServe as a safety coach and mentor to field teams and trade partnersEmpower craft workers to speak up and take ownership of safetyParticipate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) efforts, helping develop and track leading indicatorsSkills & KnowledgeSkillsStrong communication and public speaking skillsAbility to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teamsProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesAble to work autonomously while supporting multiple stakeholdersKnowledgeDeep understanding of construction safety regulations and best practicesFamiliarity with Lean IPD, Last Planner System, daily huddles, constraint boards (preferred)Working knowledge of industrial, mechanical, or process equipment installation safetyAbility to integrate safety into workflows, planning, design reviews, and daily operationsEqual Opportunity EmployerSheakley is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, disability, or any other protected status.
