Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the United States for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of She Orbits. The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the organization's strategic vision. Responsibilities include managing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial risks and opportunities. The CFO will also provide strategic financial recommendations to the leadership team, manage relationships with external partners, and optimize operational efficiency to enable the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will align with She Orbits' mission of fostering global talent in space and STEM sectors.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance standards, financial legislation, and risk management practices
- Leadership and strategic planning experience, particularly in managing teams and operational decision-making
- Proficiency with financial tools and systems such as ERP software and data reporting platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in non-profit organizations, STEM-related sectors, or mission-driven initiatives is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA qualification is a plus
