Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices.
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves effectively.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and phone etiquette, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist in training new staff members, providing guidance on retail sales techniques and store policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed to ensure product availability.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations during transactions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales boutique or specialty store environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product demos is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
