Job Title: Summer Computer Technician
Reports To: Director of Technology and Executive Director of Academic Services
Site: Shawnee Public Schools (all locations)
Qualifications
Credentials: None required. Must have driver's license and acceptable driving
record.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent with specialized training in computers or networking preferred.
Training or Experience Required: Advanced computer skills.
Job Summary: Perform basic maintenance and installation of technology at district sites. Responsible for maintenance, installation and setup of computers.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Complies with Shawnee's Mission Statement in which students are to be provided with skills, knowledge and attitudes to become lifelong learners, complex thinkers, and responsible citizens in an ever-changing global society.
Supervision exercised: An incumbent does not supervise.
Physical/Mental Requirements And Working Conditions
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Shawnee Board Policy on evaluation of personnel.

- Performs tasks with sensitivity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Provides clear instructions, builds and maintains excellent rapport with district staff.
- Professional dress, proper attendance and leave procedures are required.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records to document changes in technology protocol. Resolves problems effectively and efficiently.
- Maintains and troubleshoots a complex multi-platform environment.
- Ability to adapt and grow with changing technology.
- Manages a variety of technology projects at one time.
- Works well with team-based project planning.
- Requires following safety guidelines and policies, inclusive of the District Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens, to reduce accident or injury to self.
- Provide computer maintenance district wide.
- Responsible for installing new hardware.
- Responsible for closing and completing all work tickets.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.

Physical/Mental Requirements And Working Conditions
- The employee must have the ability to communicate in person, and on the telephone.
- The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
