Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of medical practices within our facility. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and current health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including acute pain management and suture procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Oversee the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in various settings including ICU, assisted living, home care, and senior care environments.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and facility policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Proven experience in a nursing role, preferably in acute care or critical care settings such as ICU.
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine practices and procedures.
- Experience with patient assessments, pain management techniques, and medical records management.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
