Duties
- Install new garage doors, including door hanging, frame carpentry, and fixture installation, ensuring compliance with building codes and schematics
- Perform repairs and mechanical adjustments on existing garage doors, including spring replacement, track alignment, and opener troubleshooting
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to modify or customize door components as needed
- Conduct electrical work related to garage door openers, sensors, wiring connections, and electrical safety standards
- Measure spaces accurately for proper fitment; perform heavy lifting of doors and hardware safely during installation or repair processes
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, building code compliance, and quality standards while maintaining a clean job site
Qualifications
- Must have 5 years of experience in installing garage doors.
- Mechanical knowledge of garage door systems, including springs, tracks, motors, locks, and electrical components
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients during installations or repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel between job sites as needed
