What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery Clerk and Baker position at Shawano Foods LLC?
Bakery Clerk Part-time or Full-time $10.10 an hour.
To help maintain and operate the Bakery Department.
1. Always exhibit excellent customer relations by providing prompt and courteous service.
2. Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves throughout the entire day.
3. Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.
4. Wrap, package and price all products accurately, legibly and neatly, do over if necessary.
5. Maintain a clean, well groomed personal appearance, per dress code policy at all times.
6. Observe policies and procedures established for the department and comply with state health regulations.
7. Pan frozen products, frost and fill donuts, replenish containers when emptied.
8. Maintain good communication with Bakery Manager and Bakery Crew.
9. Maintain companies high standard of quality of products.
10. Control all thaw and sell products on the shelves daily, keep freezer & cooler shelves organized.
11. Replenish products on tables and shelves, must be kept neat and orderly throughout the day.
12. Maintain general housekeeping in department, but also keep up on deep cleaning department on a regular basis. Return items to proper storage place in a neat manner.
13. Inform Bakery Manager when low on product or packaging materials.
1. Answer phone and take special orders.
2. Assist department in baking and any other duties asked by Department Manager
1. Must have strong oral communication skills to enhance customer service.
2. Must have dexterity in hands to wrap and package products.
3. Must be able to read and write to be able to code and price products.
4. Must be able to lift up to seventy pounds (70#’s) flour, as needed.
5. Must be able to stand, twist and bend as needed.
1. Exposed to hazardous chemicals used in sanitation policy. Hazards are limited when established safety procedures are followed.
2. Exposed to extreme heat up to fifty percent (50%) of the time. Exposed to extreme cold of up to minus fifteen degrees (-15 o’s) up to twenty five percent (25%) of the time.
