The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of dental assisting, including chairside assisting, patient management, and familiarity with dental software systems. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Open Dental for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering medical histories from patients.
- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Attain digital impressions for patient appliances including but not limited to: dentures, crowns, Invisalign trays, whitening trays.
- Scan, design, fabricate and try in, in office crowns utilizing Primescan-CEREC crowns
- Collaborate with the dental admin team to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and 3D scanning technology is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
