The Yard Manager at Kruse Lumber is a critical member of the Management team and is responsible for leading, managing, and holding our Yard and Driver employees accountable for their assigned areas. Their attention to detail helps ensure efficient and accurate execution of company process throughout the Yard.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead, Manage and hold employees accountable
- Dispatch and Logistics – Meet delivery commitments and manage truck utilization and scheduling commitments
- Yard Management – Manage Yard layout, and create and execute efficient processes to manage expenses to budget
- Inventory Managment – Maintain proper storage, care and organization of inventory and that receiving and returns are processed in a timely fashion
- Facilities – Care and keeping of Company facilities and equipment
- Safety – location Safety Culture Leader
THIS IS YOU
The ideal Yard Manager has strong leadership skills. We are looking for someone who is operationally minded and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years Operations experience (Yard preferred)
- 5-years management experience, developing teams
- Technical aptitude
- Experience in planning and logistics
- Adept problem solver using data and analytics
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred:
- History of work in a lumber yard
- Product knowledge

Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
