Text DRIVERFR to 720-790-7068 to apply today! Shaw is looking for a Delivery Driver that will be based in Denver. The Delivery Driver will make deliveries of equipment, materials, tools, wood framing panels, etc. to various construction project site locations throughout the Front Range.

Job Summary: Delivery of material or equipment as needed to jobsites in a safe, efficient manor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains a current Class A CDL and Class B CDL, Commercial Driver’s License
• Prepares DOT required log of time on duty and driving.
• Organizes and secures loads.
• Assists forklift operators when loading.
• Confirms orders for accuracy.
• Unloads/loads materials if necessary.
• Complete and maintain DVIR, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports in accordance with State, Federal and Company Requirements, including daily pre-inspection (392.7), in-route (392.9) and post-inspections (396.11) and maintains proper log books of each.
• Competency with and confidence to perform Federal and DOT inspections including Levels I through Level VI.
• Records all equipment or material that is returned to the yard.
• Follows guidelines established by the Department of Transportation
• Must verify Compliance with US Department of Transportation (USDOT) English Proficiency Requirements for Truckers which became effective June 25, 2025.
• Operates all trucks in a safe and efficient manner, maintains records regarding equipment use and time charged.
• Assists supervisor, other associates and other work areas, as assigned.
• Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in the yard.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High School GED level education preferred.
• Ability to read orders, write instructions and complete forms (in English)
• 12 months of CDL experience including lumber and equipment transport.

Certifications/Required Training:

• Forklift Certification
• Load securement certification
• Clean driving record and current operator’s license.
• Temperatures will vary. Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time. Eye protection and steel toed (safety toed) hard sole leather boots required at all times. Hard Hat, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses as required by each Shaw project specific PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Requirement(s)
• Overtime and irregular work could be involved

Skills Required: Physical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance. Must be able to concentrate on assigned tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Ability to read, understand and execute work in compliance with construction documents. Ability to understand State and Federal Road Rules and Regulations, safety requirements, be aware of safety hazards, and to work safely at all times.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction / project site(s) and equipment/lumber yard where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Compensation:

• Pay Type: Hourly (non-exempt)
• Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
• Other Compensation: Bonus commensurate with individual performance, company performance, and experience.
