Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting protocols.
- Support sanitation routines by regularly cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment to prevent contamination.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety standards is highly desirable.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or other cleaning machinery is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper knife skills is a plus.
- Prior catering, banquet, hotel, or culinary experience will help you excel in this role.
