Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to ensure the proper and timely flow of raw materials, packaging, products, scrap, and production waste for plants RP/RR/NC.

Responsibilities:
- Verify all incoming materials and packaging and report any issues.
- Update POs in PeopleSoft and issuing receipts.
- Receive raw materials and packaging into USF2 inventory system.
- Observe raw materials and packaging to ensure correct amounts and inspect for damage.
- Monitor the mainframe system to determine if there are any production uploading issues between USF2 and the main frame.
- Monitor raw material and packaging inventory levels for accuracy.
- Update and review trailer usage including transportation systems, dock checks, and yard checks.
- Monitor waste open top levels and dispatch full OT’s using the waste management system.
- Notify departments of any discrepancies concerning material or packaging flow.
- Work closely with Plant RP Quality Department for daily quality checks and returns.
- Receiving retuned product and flashbacks in G-link and coordinate resolution with the responsible department.
- Prepare and distribute bills of lading (BOL) for any other item(s) leaving the plant.
- Load and unload products, materials and packaging utilizing lift trucks.
- Monitor and adjust load sequences for IPT shipments.
- Produce and maintain files for IPT shipments.
- Perform daily inventory checks for raw materials and packaging.
- Communicate raw material and packaging needs with other S/R departments/plants.
- Unload materials and packaging in a timely manner to ensure each department has the sufficient amounts.
- Dispatch various items using the FedEx small parcel and LTL freight websites/apps.
- Communicate effectively with distribution centers, spotter coordinator and interplant groups to relay any issues or needs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass a lift truck driving test
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet the needs of business partners
Preferred Skills:
- Competent usage of USF2, Glink/mainframe, Estat, Peoplesoft, MRM, Waste Management System.
- Knowledge of OSHA, SAFE, SQS, and plant-specific training.
- Proficient lift truck operator
