Position Overview
Shaw Industries is seeking an HR Manager with a pioneering spirit for our Aiken, South Carolina Fiber Manufacturing facility.
Position Objective:
The HR Manager will provide expertise in Human Resources policies, compliance, and administration, foster a positive workplace culture, support organizational growth, and community outreach initiatives. This role reports to the facility's Senior HR Manager. The HR Manager will collaborate closely with the Senior HR Manager and escalate complex or high-impact issues for further guidance, support, and resolution.
Essential Duties:
- Directs, supervises, and provides leadership and direction for direct reports.
- Partners with Senior HR Manager to support and develop a positive workplace environment, working closely with plant leadership and associates to improve work relationships, enhance morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Acts as a resource for managers and associates for HR-related questions and issues.
- Acts as a business partner with management and will assist in employee development, leadership training, succession planning, and the selection process.
- Address and resolve associate inquiries and concerns, and loop in the Senior HR Manager on significant HR challenges for support.
- Act as an associate advocate while administering company policies fairly and consistently.
- Conducts thorough, objective investigations and loops in the Senior HR Manager on complex AR issues for support.
- Partners with the HR Training Manager to develop effective onboarding and training programs.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition on facility hourly hiring needs. Leads the selection and hiring process and escalates critical hiring challenges or retention issues to the Senior HR Manager for support.
- Collaborates with the Safety team on compliance and safety protocols. Escalates serious safety incidents to the Senior HR Manager for support.
- Supports Diversity and Inclusion site-wide initiatives.

Experience / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Related Field
- 5 Years in HR Generalist or HR Manager role
- PHR or SPHR Preferred
