Game On Turf Reliability Technician - 3rd shift Plant T6
Position Overview
Position Objective: This position will train and mentor Reliability Mechanics levels D-B, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively. Will have responsibility of signing off on DOSTool level 2 observations for Reliability Tech D-Bs. This sign off will verify that the technician has completed assigned activities and meets expectations. Will maintain and upkeep equipment as assigned and participate in root cause analysis of machinery failures, identify the necessary steps to correct the failures, and make repairs and participate in finding solutions to eliminate future recurrence of the failures.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Fabrication/Welding (TIG): Proficient in tungsten selection and preparation, welder setup, filler rod and gas selection, and capable of TIG welding to fabricate projects from prints or drawings.
- Hydraulics: Ability to select appropriate valving, piping, and hydraulic pumps to ensure proper system operation.
- Pneumatics: Skilled in selecting and setting pressure regulators, as well as choosing proper valving and tubing sizes for pneumatic systems.
- Power Transmission: Experience in planning projects related to power transmission systems, calculating and modifying speeds/ratios, and troubleshooting using advanced techniques like infrared and ultrasonic technology. Capable of calculating thermal expansion for systems.
- Troubleshooting Mechanical Systems: Expertise in analyzing wear patterns, conducting root cause analyses on recurring failures, and identifying sources of severe vibrations, drive faults, and misalignments in mechanical systems.
Non-Equipment Related Tasks:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs as directed by management.
- Attending required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
- Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS (Sharp) system.
- Complete DOSTool activities relevant to current pay level and higher levels as required.
- Meet performance goals focused on efficiency and downtime reduction.
- Provide training to fellow technicians as needed.
Critical Skills:
- Participate in identifying root causes of gaps and opportunities.
- Participate in implementation of effective solutions to prevent reoccurrences of equipment issues.
- Basic math skills are essential
- Proficiency in advanced computer skills preferred
- Willingness to learn to operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
- May be required to operate aerial lift
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk up and down stairs, sit, stand, or walk for most of the shift.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp, reach overhead, and operate hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working in elevated environments (ladders, lifts, etc.) for extended periods.
