We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in commercial and industrial settings. Job Summary:
The Journeyman Electrician will interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine efficient methods for electrical installations according to NEC and local codes. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively with project supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- · Ensures all work at job site is performed in a safe manner. Follows all safety procedures, conducts safety meetings and toolbox chats, and encourages others to work safely. Attends required safety training. Promotes and documents safe work practices to ensure compliance with customer, OSHA and company guidelines.
- · Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to determine methods to install wire and conduit according to NEC and local codes within time limits.
- · Installs, bends, and secure underground and rigid conduit and fixtures (e.g. lighting, alarms, signage, etc.) to provide enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
- · Pull, route, and terminate wires for power distribution and control systems.
- · Test and troubleshoot to identify and repair electrical systems, including motors, VFD’s, PLC’s, and control panels.
- · Terminates panels per drawings in a neat and professional manner.
- · Mentors apprentices and shows how to accurately and efficiently complete tasks.
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers.
