POSITION: Information Technology Project Coordinator
Purpose
The job of Information Technology Coordinator is done for the purpose of coordinating planning, organizing, and implementing Information Technology related projects with the Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE); providing IT related information to others; and maintaining IT related services within established guidelines and standards.
This job reports to the assigned administrator/supervisor.
Essential Functions
? Supports Shasta COE staff and external partners for the purpose of enhancing their productivity to ensure department/program outcomes are achieved.
? Works with program staff and/or a variety of committees, etc. for the purpose of serving as a liaison and resource, coordinating department services.
? Composes a variety of reports related to accounts, budgets, and customer inventory for the purpose of ensuring informed purchases, and compliance with eRate regulations.
? Coordinate development of timelines to ensure technology equipment and inventory is purchased and deployed to programs.
? Work with departments to recommend technology purchases that are in line with IT and SCOE standards
? Maintains department databases (such as inventory and surplus lists) and the tools used to support them.
? Provides direct support on various systems, software applications and databases in the IT department
? Assists in the design, development, and organization of processes, strategies, schedules, systems, and goals for the purpose of implementing IT program activities.
? Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with regulatory requirements, budget development, and analysis, and established guidelines.
? Monitors budgets, services, purchases and systems for the purpose of ensuring that performance outcomes are achieved within budget, department, and district objectives.
? Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and/or sharing with others.
? Plans, implements, and manages multiple projects and events simultaneously (e.g. training, budget management, technology support, service contracts, department/program relocations, inventory, etc.) for the purpose of coordinating a variety of program components and activities while ensuring program objectives are met.
? Prepares and maintains a wide variety of written and electronic documents and materials (e.g. training sessions, services, instruction manuals, templates, budget reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
? Researches a variety of information (e.g., courses, materials, etc.) for the purpose of developing programs that will meet various customer needs.
? Supports program staff for the purpose of ensuring compliance, technical assistance, and troubleshooting hardware and software needs remotely and on-site.
Other Functions
? Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 25% walking, and 35% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience: Job-related experience is required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in job-related area.
Equivalency: Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in education, computer science, business administration, public administration, or a related field and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
The stated education and experience requirements are the preferred minimum qualifications for this job. However, relevant experience to substitute for the education requirement and relevant education, certificates, and/or licenses to substitute for the experience requirement may be allowed.
