Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems, machinery and equipment. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of production and facility equipment through preventative and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, relays, control panels, PLC's and wiring according to codes and specifications.

Performs mechanical duties including assembling, aligning and repairing conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and other machinery.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals for both electrical and mechanical systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.

Follow safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe maintenance practices.

Document maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.

Collaborate with other maintenance and production personnel to identity and resolve recurring issues.

Ensure compliance with Company safety standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required

Electrical experience preferred.

Strong mechanical experience preferred.

Knowledge of electrical systems controls and mechanical systems.

Proficient in the use of electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.

Ability to weld, fabricate and use machining tools is a plus.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read schematics and equipment manuals

Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
