What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Sharpsville Area School District?
Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning services as outlined by the Director of Facilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment
- Remove snow and ice from all school sites as assigned
- Provide building checks on holidays and weekend if directed
- Maintain stockroom in an efficient manner, while receiving and distributing materials, supplies and equipment
- Sweep hallways, dry and wet mop throughout the day
- Trash removal
- Be on the lookout for potentially troublesome maintenance issues
The ability to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds and carry the same up stairs
- Hand clean walls, floors, ceilings, windows, fixtures, and furniture
- Sweep and Mop
- Work from a twelve foot ladder
- Perform minor general maintenance jobs such as plumbing, heating, electricity, etc.
Experience preferred but not required.
Must have a valid Drivers License
This position is a twelve month position and benefits are as per the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
