As a Material Handler I, you will play a critical role in supporting daily waste processing operations by safely moving materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting with core plant functions. This role includes paid training, company-provided uniforms, leading health benefits, tuition reimbursement, vacation/PTO after 90 days, Stay-On bonus, making this a strong opportunity to grow within an essential, mission-driven industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload autoclave carts and box waste safely and efficiently.
- Move carts through tipping and cart washing equipment.
- Clean containers and equipment using pressure washing tools.
- Inspect carts and containers for cleanliness and damage.
- Weigh box waste and accurately record processing information.
- Bale cardboard and assist with loading trailers for shipment.
- Keep work areas, unloading zones, and equipment clean and organized.
- Perform general housekeeping and facility cleanup tasks.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Track and document daily processing and production volumes.
- Work closely with team members to support daily operations.
- Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-2 years of warehouse, manufacturing, sanitation, or labor experience preferred.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull loads up to 200 pounds.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug screening.
