What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Associate position at Sharpertek?
Full time shipping, receiving and quality control for final products.
Packaging products, reading and processing orders, completing checklists for each order, using computer software to process orders and manage inventory, track inventory, clean products, inspect products for imperfections, properly use protective gear to handle and package chemicals. Safely package products to prevent damage during shipping. Must effectively package items into boxes and onto pallets for freight shipping.
This position involves primarily physical work such as standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders, constructing boxes and crates, and handling products. The Shipping and Receiving Associate must be able to lift 65 lbs and frequently lift items that are 12-50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Previous shipping & receiving experience required
- Forklift experience/certification preferred
- Computer skills required for data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Good communication and organizational skills
