About the role
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our team and provides a platform for your professional growth and development.
Shift: First Shift – 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on steel and aluminum alloys
- Weld plate and tube components to aerospace-quality standards
- Set up and operate shop equipment including band saws, grinders, sanders, and other fabrication tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect parts using a tape measure and basic inspection tools
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow established fabrication, safety, and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Proficient in GTAW and GMAW welding processes
- Experience welding various steel and aluminum alloys
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and shop tools
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Familiar with AWS D1.1, D1.2, and D17.1 weld acceptance criteria
- Familiar with aerospace fabrication practices
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior aerospace or precision manufacturing experience
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Familiarity with inspection and documentation requirements
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and welding fumes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required
- Must be reliable and able to work scheduled hours, including overtime when needed
Pay Rate and Benefits
- Pay Rate dependent on qualifications
