Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities to support operations and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable to include invoice data entry and confirmation of purchase orders and receiving documents
• Reconcile vendor and credit card statements
• Post entries to the General Ledger system
• Assist with month-end close as needed 
• Client invoicing as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities  

• Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all state, OSHA and Federal regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

• N/A

Experience

• One or more (1 ) years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience required
• Three or more (3 ) years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience preferred

Education

• Associates degree in accounting or related field required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
• SAP knowledge is preferred
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and detail oriented 
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
• Able to lift up to 10lbs
