Hourly Salary Range: $19.00 - 23.00 (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Description:
We are looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Maven Dermatology. This position plays a key role in supporting both clinical operations and patient care. This position involves managing prior authorizations, coordinating referrals with primary care providers and specialists, and serving as a primary point of contact for patients regarding biopsy results, lab findings, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled at communicating clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers. By ensuring timely and accurate administrative support, this role contributes to a smooth, efficient practice and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Updating patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Keeping patients informed of appointment delays and scheduling follow-ups
- Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately
- Maintaining a clean and organized front office
- Adhering to all safety guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent certification required
- 0-6 months' experience in a medical office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in medical office (Required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of confidentiality
- Thorough and organized with patient care and file maintenance
- Ability to remain calm and patient when working with patients, employees, and physicians
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
