Sharp Funeral Homes is seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Licensed Funeral Director/Arranger to join our growing team. We are a family-owned funeral home with multiple locations serving Genesee County and the surrounding communities. Responsibilities
- Meet with families to arrange and direct funeral, memorial, cremation, and graveside services.
- Embalm and prepare deceased individuals with the highest level of care and professionalism.
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services from first call through final disposition.
- Assist with removals, transfers, and after-hours on-call responsibilities.
- Lead visitations, funerals, and committal services with professionalism and compassion.
- Maintain facilities, vehicles, and equipment to the highest standards.
- Work closely with clergy, cemeteries, hospitals, nursing homes, and other community partners.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other licensed staff.
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Funeral Director and Embalmer License (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
