Responsibilities
- Manage the activities of the hourly/bargaining unit employees to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Train and develop employees, evaluate employee performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare and maintain employee records and other documentation, timekeeping records, and production records.
- Coordinate model changeovers, ensure products are manufactured according to the bill of materials and work instructions, and backflush daily to ensure parts transform into finished goods.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and adhering to applicable regulations.
- Manage the hourly workforce in compliance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required. Some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
- Must have strong problem-solving, supervisory, and leadership skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Effective, efficient oral and written communication skills (emails, fact sheets, etc.) required.
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and SAP is a plus.
- Electromechanical diagnostic knowledge of major appliances is a plus.
- Work is performed in a production factory environment and requires the ability to walk throughout the facility and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and keyboards in close proximity to others.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
