The IT Applications Project Manager will lead and manage multiple internal and external end-to-end IT applications and software projects, documentation, and processes while reinforcing defined infrastructure and software best practices. The Project Manager will drive process improvement, documentation management, and project governance to ensure follow-through, timeliness, and accuracy across the project portfolio. This role requires 5 years of experience managing software and IT applications projects with demonstrated proficiency in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Must be able to run large projects with minimal oversight.

  • Structured Project Execution: Build and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or Project Online, manage dependencies, and hold teams accountable to baseline plans
  • Contract and Compliance Awareness: Extract scope, deliverables, milestones, and obligations from contractual documentation and translate into actionable project plans
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, vendors, and engineering teams across multiple projects ensuring continuous alignment and communication.
  • Manage project tracking and reporting using a structured Waterfall framework while supporting Agile teams using Kanban and Scrum.
  • Review contractual documentation to define scope, deliverables, compliance obligations, and milestones.
  • Analyze internal and external communications to provide clear and valuable responses.
  • Prepare meeting materials including project charters, kickoff presentations, scope, phases, and communication plans.
  • Facilitate meetings and maintain dashboards using Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Escalate issues when necessary to appropriate teams.
  • Maintain project status reports, roadmaps, and documentation standards.
  • Develop process and procedural documentation.
  • Identify risks, constraints, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use project management tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Maintain and archive project notes and documentation.
  • Schedule meetings using Outlook and manage calendars effectively.
  • Document meeting notes to support decision-making.
  • Ensure communication channels are established across all project teams.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with onsite presence as required in Atlanta Midtown.
Experience
  • 5 years of project management experience in software or IT applications.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or Project Online.
  • Strong writing, editing, and follow-through skills.
  • Experience interpreting contractual documentation and requirements.
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
