LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ 85007
WORK SCHEDULE: Hybrid – 2 days per week in office and 3 days per week remote
The selected candidate will be responsible for reconciling and closing client projects to ensure the timely release of funds. This role requires compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include analyzing and validating costs associated with project funding; interacting with federal agencies, local governments, and multiple internal departments; researching project issues; providing solutions and recommendations for process improvements; processing adjustments; and preparing final voucher forms for submission.
Skills and Knowledge Required- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- At least 1 year of accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve financial and technical data issues
- Ability to analyze and interpret contract and financial data
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles as applied to project analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- At least 1 year of accounting experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret contract and financial data
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve financial and technical data issues
