Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for shipment of all finished goods, vendors returns, customer returns, customer salvage, components, machinery and all other items shipping from the facility by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates the preparation of goods for shipment including staging on the dock, labeling, bill of lading and packing slip preparation and appropriate Automated Management (AIM) transactions.
Operates forklift, loads and unloads truck, and moves materials to designated areas.
Stages and identifies product to be shipped. Verifies product being shipped against the proper bill of lading.
Fills out necessary paperwork and distributes to appropriate persons for all shipments.
Unloads trucks and receives in product and components. Verifies material being received against incoming paperwork.
Operates Radio Frequency (R.F.) gun to store and retrieve product and components from Automated Storage & Recovery System (AS-RS).
Labels incoming material with proper bar code labels and verifies label to material.
Drives inter plant truck to transport materials or packaged form to and from specified destinations.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
Receives the incoming controlled substances.
Weigh and record all incoming bulk product.
Breakdown the incoming bulk into lots, utilize appropriate pallet size and type in order to be placed into inventory.
Completes required receiving control documents and turns over to quality incoming inspection person.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Detail oriented. Basic computer skills and experience with spreadsheets, word processing and database. Previous employment in a cGMP compliant facility. Experience in a pick/pack operations preferred. Inventory control or Quality control experience helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
