About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Field Engineer / Smart Hands Technician to support an onsite Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) deployment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise network installations, rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and onsite implementation support.
Key Responsibilitie
- sStage and prepare equipment prior to deployment
- .Rack, install, and cable Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs)
- .Perform power, fiber, and Ethernet cross-connects
- .Verify switch port availability and physical connectivity
- .Install SFP modules, fiber patch cords, and Ethernet cables
- .Support remote engineers during implementation and cutover activities
- .Validate installation and perform basic network connectivity testing
- .Troubleshoot basic hardware and network connectivity issues
- .Remove, label, package, and prepare legacy network equipment for return shipment (when required)
- .Provide regular onsite updates, documentation, and completion photos
.Required Skill
- sExperience with Rack & Stack activities
- .Hands-on experience installing Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (9800 WLC preferred)
- .Experience with fiber optic and Ethernet cabling
- .Smart Hands / Remote Hands support experience
- .Basic network troubleshooting skills
- .Experience working in enterprise network or data center environments
- .Ability to work independently while coordinating with remote engineering teams
- .Strong communication and documentation skills
