Sharp Animal Hospital – Phenix City, AL
Sharp Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Feed, water, and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets
- Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and hospital areas
- Walk and exercise dogs
- Bathe pets as needed
- Wash bedding, dishes, and other supplies
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint when needed
- Monitor pets for changes in appetite, behavior, or health and report concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility
- Provide compassionate care and attention to every patient
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required—we're happy to train the right person!
