Partial Hospitalization Summer Program Instructor

Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Partial Hospitalization Program Summer Instructor, where you will devise curriculum to assist and support academic remediation efforts of patients referred to the Partial Hospitalization summer program session. The Instructor facilitates academic enrichment and remedial instruction in the classroom for Partial Hospitalization patients admitted to our summer program.

Summer Schedule

The summer program operates 6 hours per day for 32 program days from June 22-August 5, 2026. The per diem position will entail 8 weeks of employment from June 15-August 7, 2026, which will include prep and post program time for curriculum development and outcome reporting averaging 30 hours per week (approximately 234 hours).

Responsibilities

• Sets remediation goals through their knowledge of content and pedagogy in planning and preparation for students grades 6-12.
• Establishes and maintains a purposeful and equitable environment for learning, in which students feel safe, valued and respected by instituting routines and by setting clear expectations for student behavior in program classroom.
• Provides reports to home school districts regarding academic work and provision of feedback to individual districts regarding academic progress, noted impairments, deficits, and gains achieved during individual PHP admissions.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ master’s degree Preferred with valid teaching license
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with the emotionally disturbed student population
• Skills & Knowledge: Special Education certification
• Passion for helping others and fostering a positive, energetic atmosphere
