Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality healthcare services.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, day turn
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients with cardiac conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including ECGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to cardiology practices.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient patient record management.
- Engage in telehealth consultations when necessary to enhance patient access to care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Cardiology or relevant specialty.
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
- Critical care experience preferred; Cath Lab experience a PLUS.
- Proficiency in medical office procedures, including CPT coding and medical documentation practices.
- Experience with various EMR systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to cardiology.
- Skills in performing procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, and airway management are essential.
