EHR Applications Analyst (Meditech)
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated EHR Applications Analyst to support the configuration, optimization, and maintenance of our enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other key clinical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Meditech MaaS or legacy Meditech platforms and possess an understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary resource for Meditech EHR application design, build, testing, and support.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to analyze workflow needs. Identify and implement system solutions and support existing clinical systems throughout the Hospital System.
- Perform system configuration, dictionary maintenance, and user access management.
- Troubleshoot application issues, document resolutions, and coordinate with vendor support as needed.
- Participate in change management, upgrade planning, and system validation activities.
- Assist in the development of training materials and provide end-user support or education as required.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in EHR application support or implementation, preferably within a Meditech environment (Expanse, Client/Server, or Magic).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Experience with clinical workflows, order management, and/or interfaces is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Meditech Expanse certification or prior build experience.
- Familiarity with HL7, SQL reporting, or interface engines.
- Understanding of HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and other healthcare IT compliance standards.
