Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team full time. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in critical care and patient assessment, and will be committed to delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing catheterization procedures.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Catheterization Lab, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Assist with all catherization lab and vascular, EP, peripheral vascular and IR procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients' conditions before, during, and after catheterization procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and perform necessary interventions as per established protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, recovery processes, and ongoing care requirements.
- Participate in emergency response situations as needed, utilizing basic life support skills.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a sterile environment in the Catheterization Lab.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Cath Lab experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year critical care experience required.
- Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and patient assessment techniques.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
