What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Custodian position at Sharon Jt. 11 School District?
Sharon Community School seeks a part-time custodian to work a 5-5 1/2 hour shift starting at 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, unlocking/locking doors in accordance with the evening event schedule, and cleaning after special events etc. Custodians should be able to stand on their feet for five hours at a time and able to bend and lift objects with ease up to 40 lbs, including heavy trash/recycling bins. Custodians will be conducting daily disinfecting of the building. No uniform is required, however staff are required to follow the student dress code. There are additional hours available in the summer during the daytime for summer cleaning. Part time custodians are sometimes asked to sub for the full time custodian as needed, but it is not required. Expected hours are between 25 and 27 per week. This position is not eligible for benefits.
