Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastor to lead and nurture our faith community. The ideal candidate will serve as a spiritual leader, providing guidance, teaching, and pastoral care to individuals and families. This role involves inspiring congregants through dynamic preaching, fostering spiritual growth, and supporting members during life’s significant moments, including bereavement and terminal illness. The Pastor will also coordinate religious programs, oversee community outreach initiatives, and collaborate with church leadership to advance the mission of the congregation. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings that resonate with diverse audiences, emphasizing biblical theology and Christian principles.
• Provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals facing personal crises, terminal illness, or grief, including bereavement support and hospice care.
• Lead religious education classes, workshops, and seminars on topics such as religious studies, biblical theology, and Christian counseling.
• Offer crisis intervention and conflict management support within the congregation and community, ensuring compassionate responses to urgent needs.
• Organize and oversee church events, outreach programs, and community service initiatives that promote spiritual growth and social engagement.
• Work closely with families during times of crisis or loss, providing mentorship and emotional support through pastoral care.
• Develop effective communication strategies for sermons, presentations, and written materials that inspire faith and understanding across diverse cultural backgrounds.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a clergyperson within a nonprofit faith-based organization or church setting.
• Demonstrated ability in public speaking with strong presentation skills to engage congregations of varying sizes.
• Background in teaching religious studies or related subjects with a focus on biblical theology.
• Extensive experience in pastoral counseling, crisis intervention, hospice care, or terminal illness counseling.
• Skilled in event planning, conflict management, mentoring, and working with culturally diverse communities.
• Knowledge of Christian counseling practices combined with leadership qualities necessary for guiding a faith community effectively.
• Strong writing skills for preparing sermons, educational materials, and official communications that reflect theological accuracy and compassion.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
