Stylists LOVE working at Sharkey's because we are always BUSY and our staff love the other co-workers. We are the busiest salon for kids in all of South Carolina (and growing to over 1100 employees & stylists in 2022) and offer a fun environment with great co-workers, owners that care, above average tips, and a salon with no drama. We treat everyone like family, which is why many of our stylists have been with us for over 10 & 15 years!
Our company is based out of Westport, CT with one of our biggest markets here in South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized hair styling services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client preferences.
- Apply extensions, lashes, and other beauty services while ensuring proper sanitation and safety protocols.
- Consult with clients to determine desired looks, explain treatments, and recommend suitable products.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation, sanitize tools, and uphold salon standards.
- Manage appointments, retail product recommendations, and basic front-desk tasks as needed.
- Stay current on trends, products, and techniques; communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Hair styling and coloring expertise with strong knowledge of color theory
- Hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and basic nail care skills
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and front desk interactions
- Sanitation standards, cosmetology licensing, and beauty industry experience
- Familiarity with retail environments, retail sales, and basic retail math
- Proficiency with salon software (MINDBODY), appointment management, and store operations familiarity
- Mentoring, teamwork, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $300.00 per day
