What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Foreman (Working Foreman) position at Sharkey Air?
This is a working foreman position, not a desk job. You’ll be on job sites every day — installing residential and commercial HVAC systems alongside your crew, while also leading the team, coordinating the workflow, and serving as our point person for quality and code compliance. If you’re a strong technician who likes to lead from the front, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and work alongside the crew on residential and commercial HVAC installations, replacements, and service calls
- Ensure all work meets local building codes and passes inspection the first time
- Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and job specs
- Coordinate daily schedules, materials, and manpower to keep jobs on time and on budget
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues in the field
- Mentor and train technicians and apprentices on best practices and safety
- Communicate with the office, customers, and inspectors professionally
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
