Duties
- Operate and manage manufacturing equipment, including forklifts and power tools, to facilitate production processes safely and efficiently
- Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and process instructions to ensure accurate assembly and production flow
- Conduct manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, and mechanical assembly with precision and care
- Use measuring instruments and hand tools to verify product specifications and maintain quality standards
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and implementing lean manufacturing practices
- Manage production documentation, logs, and reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line, managing production or assembly teams to meet daily targets
Skills
- Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments with a strong understanding of safety protocols in production settings
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to interpret technical drawings and technical documentation
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, power tools, hand tools, measuring instruments, and warehouse equipment
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing management systems and process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and interpreting production instructions
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
