Community Development/Personal Support Staff

Hiring someone with real life experience!

Seeking someone to work part time for a person living in Columbia, Maryland. The individual is looking for someone to assist them with their involvement in volunteering and support the person in activities that promote independence, such as assisting the employer with transportation services, and assisting with his schedule. Responsibilities would include helping the individual with locating community volunteering opportunities, and accompanying them to these community events. The employee will be expected to provide transportation to these opportunities when other means of transportation are not available.

The ideal candidate would have personal experience with locating and/or participating in volunteer opportunities. The candidate must also have experience assisting with technology, and organizational skills. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, exercised with a patient, and compassionate demeanor.

Candidates must pass a criminal background check, and get or have CPR/First Aid training.

Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid Training
• Clear background check
• Current Drivers License
• Vehicle in a safe, driving condition
• References

Job Type/Schedule:

• Part-time
• 6 hours per week
• Thursdays, 11am-4:30pm
• Weekends may vary

Starting salary: $28/hour with opportunity for a raise with good performance evaluation at 60 days

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
