Athea Laboratories, a leader in specialty chemical product manufacturing, is seeking a Production Assistant. This position is located at the Athea-Cornell facility.
This person is responsible for assisting the machine operator in the production of intermediate materials and finished chemical products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closing containers of chemical product
- Stacking, placing, and handling materials
- Packaging filled containers
- Labeling containers
- Retrieving and transporting empty containers, pallets of completed product, and other components using a cart or pallet jack
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- Retrieving production-related paperwork
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written & verbal instructions
- Ability to count and do basic arithmetic
- Able to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets, etc.)
- Must wear all required personal protective equipment (e.g. Tyvek overalls, foot protection, eye/face protection, hand protection)
