Position Summary
The Operations Customer Support role supports day-to-day operations through data management, administrative coordination, and customer communication. This position serves as a liaison between internal teams and external customers to ensure alignment of requirements and timely execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and correspondence
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure customer requirements are met and communicate potential delays
- Prepare and distribute daily shipping reports
- Participate in production meetings to communicate customer expectations
- Maintain customer portals to align demand with purchase orders
- Monitor on-time delivery (OTD) performance
- Maintain accurate backlog data and report discrepancies
- Manage customer data within the ERP system
- Participate in customer calls and meetings as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or three (3) years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ERP experience required; Epicor preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Office-based role with occasional exposure to manufacturing environment
- Prolonged periods working at a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, dust, and chemicals when on the shop floor
