Through its Shanti Model of Peer Support™, the organization has empowered over 18,000 volunteers to provide more than 3 million hours of support. With services reaching over 2,200 clients annually, Shanti fosters connection and care, ensuring individuals facing serious health challenges do not face them alone.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Health and Wellness Coach located in San Francisco, CA. The Health and Wellness Coach will provide personalized support to clients by promoting wellness through coaching in the areas of nutrition, weight management, and overall health. Responsibilities include developing individualized wellness plans, setting achievable lifestyle goals, conducting one-on-one coaching sessions, and providing resources to enhance physical and emotional well-being. Collaboration with clients and team members will play a key role in delivering impactful, client-centered care.
- Expertise in Health & Wellness and Wellness Coaching practices
- Ability to guide clients in Nutrition and Weight Management strategies
- Proficient Coaching skills to motivate and empower clients to meet health goals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support a diverse client base
- Experience in developing personalized health plans and tracking progress
- Knowledge of chronic illness management and compassionate care is highly desirable
- Background in public health or a related field preferred
