Role Description
This is a PRN or full-time position for a Hospice Nursing Assistant based in Chandler, AZ. The Hospice Nursing Assistant will provide daily care and support to patients in hospice, ensuring their physical comfort and assisting with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, helping maintain a clean and safe environment, and offering empathetic support to patients and their families during end-of-life care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive all over the valley to care for patients
- Experience in Hospice Care, End-of-Life Care, or Home-based Care desirable
- Understanding of patient care protocols to implement the individualized plan of care
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and the ability to support patients and families during sensitive times
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Current CPR certification and ability to comply with local and federal healthcare regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional specialized hospice training is preferred
