Job Summary

Performs duties of obtaining authorization and referrals. Work involves doing peer to peer for physicians, completing nursing authorizations, and assists patients with questions concerning insurance payment/adjustments. May train others. Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

  • Preferred
    • One year of Clerical or Medical Office experience

Certification/Licensure:

  • Required
    • Certified Medical Assistant
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
      • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
