Hiring a Project Supervisor who is experienced in residential construction settings to oversee the daily construction and renovation of residential homes while adhering to approved plans, scopes of work, quality standards, and project schedules.

Successful candidates will have the ability to:

  • Monitor Shannon Staley and Sons jobs in accordance with the Company’s safety and quality standards and coordinate construction work according to priorities, plans, scopes, and schedules.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of each assigned project and communicate expectations with the project team, Project Manager, subcontractors, and Customers.
  • Work with the Project Manager to coordinate daily production, short-term scheduling, labor, materials, inspections, and jobsite access.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential production delays, material shortages, quality concerns, or other project risks.
  • Coordinate field employees and subcontractors and ensure they understand the approved scope of work, project priorities, and daily assignments.
  • Monitor employee and subcontractor attendance, productivity, workmanship, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Forecast material and equipment needs, prepare material requests, coordinate approved deliveries, and confirm that materials delivered to the jobsite are correct and undamaged.
  • Ensure site personnel are provided with the current project scope of work, drawings, selections, safety requirements, and other information needed to complete their work.
  • Assist in ensuring Company compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and local construction guidelines.
  • Provide leadership to Foremen, Craftsmen, Laborers, and other assigned field personnel, including providing mentoring and direction and identifying training and development needs.
  • Perform limited hands-on labor tasks as needed, including picking up and delivering materials and operating equipment, trucks, and tools.
  • Communicate production, quality, material, scheduling, customer, or labor issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Inspect all aspects of construction for quality standards and address deviations, errors, incomplete work, and necessary repairs to meet specifications.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and reasonably safe project sites.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress notes, photographs, attendance, deliveries, delays, inspections, and unresolved issues.
  • Identify hidden conditions, customer requests, and scope discrepancies that may require additional time or cost and report them to the Project Manager before additional work proceeds.
  • Communicate routine project progress, access, housekeeping, and short-term scheduling information with Customers.
  • Refer all pricing, contract, payment, change order, design, scope, and project completion decisions to the Project Manager.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Customers, vendors, subcontractors, employees, and other project participants.

Qualifications:

  • Residential construction management or field leadership experience preferred.
  • Five or more years of residential construction, remodeling, renovation, or addition experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, Crew Leader, Construction Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership position preferred.
  • Working knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, sequencing, and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, written scopes of work, specifications, and schedules.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain project records using a smartphone, tablet, computer, or Company-designated project system.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits

  • Annual salary of $54,000-$59,500, based on experience.
